Accreditations

Our services are guided by an unwavering commitment to customers, service, and quality. Leader Mutual Freight (LMF) strives ceaselessly to ensure that our global operations meet the highest safety standards. Our entire service portfolio, from international freight forwarding to regional transportation, are certified by independent accreditation associations to prove regulatory compliance, reflecting LMF’s conscientious work culture.

IATA: International Air Transport Association

The International Air Transport Association (IATA) supports aviation by setting the global standards for airline safety, security, efficiency, and sustainability.

LMF is certified by IATA. Our USA companies are members of CNS, a wholly owned subsidiary of IATA.

CNS: Cargo Network Services Corporation

The Cargo Network Services Corporation (CNS) is a subsidiary of the International Air Transport Association (IATA). CNS has a matrix structure and is overseen by two Boards, a traditional Board of Directors as well as an Industry Advisory Board.

Cargo Network Services' (CNS) vision is to deliver a safe, secure, and sustainable US air cargo industry that drives economic growth while connecting and enriching the world. Leader Mutual USA offices are members of CNS.

NVOCC: Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier

NVOCC stands for Non-Vessel Operating Common Carrier. Its role involves contracting ocean freight cargo and shipping lines in order to move shipments from one point to another. An NVOCC can issue its own Bill of Ladings (BoLs) whereas a freight forwarder cannot; they can only work based on a carrier (or NVO) Bill of Lading.

NVOCC is licensed by the Federal Maritime Commission (FMC). LMF and its worldwide offices are certified by both FMC and NVOCC.

AEO: Authorized Economic Operator

The Authorized Economic Operator (AEO) program is a government-industry partnership introducing maximum security standards for international logistics and trade. The program is designed for customs brokers, warehouse operators, forwarders, importers, exporters, and manufacturers.

LMF and its global branch offices are certified as AEO. In addition, our USA companies have also acquired C-TPAT certification which is equivalent to AEO.

C-TPAT: Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism

The Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) is a voluntary supply chain security program led by the US Customs and Border Protection (CBP). It focuses on improving the security of private companies' supply chains with respect to terrorism.

LMF has been C-TPAT certified since 2002. In addition, we partner with C-TPAT certified carriers to meet our clients’ needs. C-TPAT requirements are an integral part of every field office audit conducted by our company. Security measures and quality assurance systems are reviewed at each location, annually, and reported back to corporate headquarters in Taipei.

ISO9001: International Organization for Standardization

The International Organization for Standardization (ISO) is an international body that develops and publishes worldwide technical, industrial and commercial standards.

LMF and the majority of its global branch offices hold ISO 9001 (Quality Management System) certification.

ISO14000: International Organization for Environmental Management

ISO 14000 is a family of standards related to environmental management that exists to help organizations (a) minimize how their operations negatively affect the environment (i.e. cause adverse changes to air, water, or land); (b) comply with applicable laws, regulations, and other environmentally oriented requirements; and (c) continually improve green practices.

Leader Mutual Shanghai is certified ISO 14001 (Environmental Management System); other LMF branch offices abide by our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy.

ISO 14064-1: Greenhouse gas emissions and removals

The ISO 14064 standard specifies principles and requirements at the organization level for the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions and removals. Established in 2018 and re-confirmed in 2024, the International Organization for Standardization’s (ISO) guidelines keep track of GHG inventories for governments, enterprises, and all those who hold a stake in planetary health, particularly industries like energy, manufacturing, transportation, and construction that are monitored for their emission levels and environmental impact.

LMF is ISO 14064-1 certified and committed to achieving sustainability. To maintain our competitive edge as a world-class freight forwarder, LMF’s management has sought independent audits by impartial agencies that are conducted on a regular basis.
